I have no idea what's inside the Godin, but I would have to assume that it is something similar to the Graphtec Ghost preamp, where the piezo and mag signals are both run through the preamp where blending/volume/tone takes place, before being passed on to the two individual output jacks. The bridge humbucker provides warmth, and because the A6 has two outputs, you can isolate the electric pickup on it's own track and output for all kinds of possibilities. However, the guitar I bought was bastardized at some point: the original preamp and piezo pickups were removed (replaced with a split saddle), the pickup was replaced with a humbucker, which was wired to an aftermarket preamp with EQ and built-in tuner. Last thing I felt the humbucker had to much bass for me and I turned it around making the poles just a little closer to the bridge. Probably unlikely that I'd need to record with it. My guess is that the humbucker should work even if the preamp its connected to has no powerbut Im not sure on that. Any ideas? Godin Bass Passion RG4 is apparently discontinued. Either works individually out of their respective 1/4" jacks, but the 3rd jack, which is supposed to carry both signals controlled by the toggle and "blend" pot, doesn't seem to work for the acoustic.
